Volunteer Opportunities
- Recreational and craft activities with women incarcerated at the Halifax Correctional Centre in Burnside;
- one-on-one support for federally-sentenced women at the Nova Institute in Truro;
- literacy programs;
- management team membership;
- fund Development Committee membership;
- community education;
- public Speaking;
- systems and office administration support;
- social action committee membership.
What Volunteers Can Expect:

Programs…being involved in developing and presenting programs (Anger Management, Healthy Relationships, Nutritional Block Building etc.) Fundraising.. working on existing fundraisers and brainstorming new ones! Research Projects Resource Centre….Organizing , cataloging and data input of resource materials Other….All ideas and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated Days Available |
